TRYOUT REGISTRATION FOR THE 2020/21 SEASON IS NOW OPEN

This is an unprecedented season, but we are moving forward with our plans for the 2021 season. At this time, we do not know when we will be able to return to the gym. We remain very hopeful that we will be able to start our tryouts on December 6th. In preparation for that date, we need to gauge the interest level among athletes. We hope to offer 2-3 teams at every age from 13U to 18U. To ensure we can offer as many teams as possible, we ask that you register ASAP. At this time, no payments will be collected for tryouts. As a club, we need to see where we are at for potential athletes.

Volleyball Manitoba sent out an important update last week. You all must read it over to be aware of the new changes for the 2021 season. You can see all of the information at the link below:

In summary, the most important takeaway is that there will be two additional signing periods in November. We pre-signed a group of athletes from 16U-18U in the first signing window earlier this fall. We will once again be doing this for the second round. To be considered for one of these spots, you MUST register online through our website. If you have not registered, you will not be offered a spot but are still eligible to tryout in December. Our gut feeling is that the traditional December tryout will not be an option and that Volleyball Manitoba prefers clubs pre-sign as many athletes as possible to eliminate the days of 100 athletes in the gym at one time. 

Every year, we are lucky to have an incredible group of coaches to work with our athletes. We continue to fill spots on all of our teams, but the following Head Coaches are confirmed:

18U - Dan Lother

17U - Jared Brown

16U - Connor Markesteyn

15U - Jake Rogers

14U - Ken Krahn

We are also extremely fortunate to have secured gym time at Soul Sanctuary and Linden Woods Community Centre. As many clubs are scrambling to find gym time, it is a relief that we have built a strong relationship with these facilities that will allow us to run teams in 2021.
